BRADYHOUSE

I'm Meg, founder of Bradyhouse Studios and photographer of over 13 years. I originally started my wedding business back home in Canada (eh?;)), and then I moved to Kaua'i and met my now-husband, Peter, 8 years ago and that's where Bradyhouse Studios was born. Since then we have added Micah, Dayna + Jena who are all incredible artists to our team and we have photographed nearly 1000 weddings and elopements together. As a team, we have travelled the world for work and also just for fun, and we have hundreds of hilarious and adventurous stories to show for it.

MEG

I'm a surfer-girl wannabe and originally a small town Canadian farm girl! I believe in the magic of a full moon, I live for sunsets where specks in the air light up like pixie dust and only one of my 25 houseplants have died in the last year which is pretty much one of my greatest accomplishments! I love booking one-way tickets when we travel, I believe that birthdays deserve a whole week and you know I’ve had too many beers if I start rapping Eminem. Peter and I have a 3yr old little girl named Charlie June who keeps us laughing and has way better style than either of us. We used to live off of taco's and Mac'n'Cheese but I made my own pasta noodles recently (adulting) so now I think I'm a master chef (ha! I kid. Kind of;)). Lover of flowers, twinkle lights, happy hour + Bon Iver:) I have been photographing weddings for over 13 years and have shot in 13 different countries and counting which has been so rad!

PETER

Originally from North Carolina, I have lived on Kaua’i for 12 years and it’s the best place on the planet to call home. I am a proud husband and father to my beautiful wife Meg and our very busy little Charlie Junebug, being her dad is the best job in the world. I am the ultimate utility knife, done a bit of everything and up for anything. I am your photographer, videographer, drone pilot, pack mule, bellyflop instructor, and a big kid at heart so always trying to keep things fun. I’d surf every single day if I could, and I don’t believe there is such a thing as too many surfboards even though my wife disagrees. Whether it is a new hobby, a running competition or the volume on a football game I always give it my all, once I start something I usually obsess over it until it's the best it can be. I’m always on the lookout for something new that I haven’t seen or tried, I love checking out unexplored roads or taking hidden paths to see what’s at the other end, it’s usually epic. Pizza, beer and Mexican food all day every day would be fine by me, and the movie Moana made me cry. Cheers!

MICAH

Born on Kaua'i, I am a wedding photographer by day and bartender by night. Just out here trying to teach my friends how to keep their houseplants alive.
I believe in the energy of Kaua’i and that there are countless island blessings if you give yourself space to find them. I’m down to hike any trail in slippers, I’m scared of gecko’s and you can probably hear me laugh from a mile away. Letters should be handwritten, searching for shells is my form of meditation and I draw my best artwork somewhere between 2 and 4am. I live my life on island time and am known for ignoring my phone when I’m living in the moment (don’t worry though, I won’t do this on your wedding day haha!). I believe that when you trust the people you work with, that's when the chemistry happens. That's when the real art goes down. Let’s have some fun!

DAYNA

Aloha! I’m Dayna but the team calls me Dayn:) I was born and raised here on Kaua’i and have been fortunate enough to spend the majority of my years surfing, exploring, and falling in love with all the island has to offer. I met Meg and Peter 7 years ago and we have been friends ever since. They have become like family to me and I’m beyond stoked to watch them grow into amazing parents to the coolest baby ever, Charlie! I love loco moco’s, sleeping in a hammock and singing karaoke, even if there isn’t a mic around. I am a firm believer in Aloha Āina, salt water heals everything and always leaving somewhere better than you found it. The best days ever usually involve a spontaneous change of plans, a cooler full of Truelys and people who love to laugh. Can’t wait to adventure with you!

Meet Jena Ramirez (our virtual assistant rockstar who you’ll probably be hearing a lot from!) Jena just joined our team in 2021 but we have all known eachother for years, she is usually the first to respond to anything that comes through the inbox! Although she works virtually, Jena is located on the east side of the island where she grew up, so she’s familiar with all the Kaua'i spots! During her free time, find her at the beach (with the occasional longboard, boogie board or vodka in hand! Ha!), skateboarding the bike path with her two kids or playing in the kitchen at home! Consider her your new best friend while planning your photography session and you’ll be hearing from her if you have any questions about the islands, your trip to Kauai, vendors, schedules, timelines or even adventures, she’s your girl and we’re so lucky to have her on the team!

AKA...thE GOOD STUFF

Behind the scenes

Take a look

My husband Peter and I (Meg) have experienced first hand the many challenges that come with planning a destination wedding. In 2017 we traveled to Bali, Indonesia (a place we had never been) for our secret adventure elopement and we were crazy unorganized. (Don’t worry, it’s normal!). I didn't order flowers in time so we ended up foraging my bouquet from the hotel grounds and my hair and makeup artist was a no-show, not to mention we had no idea how to find a location without hundreds of tourist bystanders.

There were countless other hurtles and challenges but in the end, our day took on a life of it’s own and none of that stuff mattered. The magic was in the intentions of the words we exchanged, and wow did it ever turn out beautiful...

our wedding story

ever wonder how the pro's do it? here is

"the magic was in the intentions of the words we exchanged"

...A few months later our friends and family gathered for our “wedding” since we hadn’t told anyone about our Bali elopement yet (ah!). Our closest friends and family came to watch our ceremony but when it came time for our vows, to their surprise, we had a TV hidden in the trees that started to play our words through our Bali film. It was such a fun way for us to share our intimate moment with those we loved, but what we didn’t expect is that this ceremony was just as powerful surrounded by our people as it was when we were alone. Whether we were on a cliff in Bali or surrounded by our loved ones, the magic was the same. The full moon lit our "first" kiss and all of a sudden the vastness of our surroundings faded into the background and, for that moment, it was only us.

"I truly believe the intention we put into our vows has carried us through the tough days, always making us stronger." This is why we are so passionate about quieting the noise

It's been 6 years and I truly believe the intention we put into our vows has carried us through the tough days, holding us accountable to show up for one another even if it's hard. This is why we are so passionate about creating a space for you to soak in these moments together. We are forever grateful to have gone through this experience, and we can't wait to help guide you through yours, too!
